Acuvue was the very first disposable contact lens, manufactured by Johnson & Johnson, and is an extended wear lens. You can wear Acuvue lenses for up to a week 24 hours a day, or two weeks if you remove them in the evenings. Acuvue lenses are comfortable and primarily made of water, so they stay hydrated and clear. Acuvue lenses are softly tinted to allow for ease of use (the tint makes them easy to spot in the contact lens solution), but will not change your eye color. Each Acuvue box contains six lenses in buffered saline.
